The third season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” started on Amazon Prime Video on December 21, 2022 and heated up the steeled CIA agent properly. Among other things, it went to Europe to prevent a devastating plot to resurrect the Soviet Union.
“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” Season 4: When will it continue?
Amazon didn’t leave “Jack Ryan” fans dithering for long and confirmed season 4 right after the launch of season 3 – but with the addition that it will be the last season of the series. Lack of success will hardly have been the reason for this decision; it is more likely that lead actor John Krasinski wants to devote himself to other projects in the future.
It is now certain that season 4 of “Jack Ryan” will start on Amazon Prime Video on June 30, 2023, and will thus be released unusually early. In some cases, years passed between the start of two seasons, but now only half a year has passed since the start of season 3.
However, the grand finale awaits us only on July 14, 2023, because for the first time, the entire season will not be released in one fell swoop. Instead, there will be two episodes every week to stretch out the final season a bit, which will have to make do with six episodes instead of the usual eight.

Of course, series star John Krasinski will return as Jack Ryan and complete his final mission. Already confirmed alongside him are Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November and Noomi Rapace as Harry Bauman. Other former characters, such as Ryan’s mistress Dr. Cathy Mueller, who we haven’t seen since season 1, will likely play a role as well.
After surviving the international hunt for himself in season 3, Jack Ryan will continue to try to prevent a nuclear World War 3 between the superpowers USA and Russia.
Continuation of the series after season 4 with a new actor?
With Michael Peña as Domingo “Ding” Chavez, the series could then continue in a planned “Jack Ryan” spin-off. Much like the character and role of “James Bond,” Jack Ryan, as part of Tom Clancy’s universe of books, has been embodied by various actors in different projects over the years.
Since Amazon Prime Video currently owns the rights to the franchise, it’s quite possible that they still have a lot planned for the Jack Ryan brand and are planning more series and seasons. However, we will probably only know more precisely after the release of season 4.
