The American action drama series “Prison Break” is all about naked survival. Will the series continue to raise the pulse with Prison Break season 7?
At the beginning of “Prison Break,” Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), a police detective, is suspected of murdering a man. The dead man is the brother of the Vice President of the United States of America. After his quick and seemingly clear conviction, Lincoln stews in jail. Although he maintains his innocence, the noose tightens around his neck: For his alleged crime, Lincoln is to be executed. Only Lincoln’s brother Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) believes him. Michael decides to get his brother out of death row. It just so happens that he was involved in the construction of the prison as a structural engineer. This premise launched the groundbreaking action series in 2005. Although there are currently only rumors of a Prison Break sixth season, fans are already hoping for Prison Break Season 7.
Prison Break Season 7: Looking back at the beginnings.
“Prison Break” started in 2005 on the pay TV channel FOX. The 22 episodes of the first season have a playing length of about 42 minutes each. A further three seasons were broadcast between 2006 and 2008. Only in the third season only 13 episodes were released. Under the series title “Prison Break – One Last Step to Freedom”, two more feature-length episodes were aired and completed Season 4. The production company took its time with the following Season 5 until it finally hit the screen in 2017. However, the episode count was drastically reduced to nine episodes. Although the series was granted a rounded conclusion with the unofficial reboot, the screenwriters* allowed expandable storylines to flow in.
Is Prison Break Season 7 in the works?
There is currently no hope for a Prison Break season 7 in the near future. Currently, according to lead actor Dominic Purcell, pre-production for the following Prison Break sixth season is on the schedule, but it is not yet shooting. How the producers will decide on the future of the series remains to be seen. In addition, according to Deadline, lead actor Wentworth Miller has officially said goodbye to his role Michael Scofield and left the series. If there will be a return of the former hit series, fans will have to do without the popular actor.
Never again “Prison Break”: leading actor Wentworth Miller gives up his role

Prison Break Season 7 Trailer
A trailer of Prison Break Season 7 has not been released yet, we will update here when it’s released.
Prison Break Plot and Background
In season 1, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is sentenced to death by an American court for allegedly murdering the brother of the American vice president. Until the execution he sits in the Fox River State Penitentiary prison. His desperate brother Michael (Wentworth Miller), however, believes in Lincoln’s innocence, although the images from a surveillance camera actually speak against it.
And so it is a good thing that the latter was involved in the reconstruction of the prison as a structural engineer. Michael makes an audacious plan: he robs a bank and lands himself in Fox River State in order to free his brother in a risky escape. In doing so, he relies on help from the inside. The brothers have no choice but to let prison inmates “T-Bag” (Robert Knepper) and Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) in on the risky plan, among others. But everyday prison life proves to be a tough test. At the same time, Lincoln’s ex-girlfriend Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney), who is also a lawyer, investigates the case and stumbles upon a conspiracy.
In season 2, eight inmates manage to break out of Fox River, including the brothers. But the police are hot on the heels of the escapees. In addition, the men are pursued by former guards Bellick and Geary and an obscure FBI agent. It begins a breathless chase across the U.S., in which even the fronts between the escapees are not entirely clear.
Season 3 tells how Michael ends up in Panama in a special prison called Sona, where the inmates are left to their own devices. In the process, he clashes with the ruthless leader Luchero. Outside the walls, Lincoln does everything he can to at least have Michael transferred to a better prison.
The 4th and for the first time last season tells how Michael, after breaking out of Sona, lives only for revenge after Whistler has murdered Sara. In the process, Michael comes across new information regarding the conspiracies surrounding “The Company”.
The 4th season was the provisional conclusion in 2009. Now in 2017, with the new 5th season of “Prison Break”, a revival as a completed mini-series is coming out. For this, a large part of the old cast could be won. All further information on the plot and the start can be found in the linked article.
